On 24 December 2020, the Decision on the registration of chemical agents, importation, exportation and transit was announced by Ministry of Industrial and Commerce of Lao People’s Democratic Republic. Registration of chemical agents is required for related activity such as production, selling-purchase, storage etc. Related industries or individuals shall submit an application to Department of Industrial and Handicraft directly or by uploading to the electronic system for the application of chemical agents registration. Registration certificate will be issued within 15 working day after acceptance of the application.
In case of importation, exportation and transit of chemical agent, different procedure will be required based on the hazard type under the Law on Chemical Management, 10th November 2016.
