On October 22, 2020, Government Gazette website recently published “Ministerial Regulation: Communal toxic or hazardous solid waste management B.E. 2563 (2020).” The 12-page regulation covers additional definitions on communal toxic or hazardous solid waste management where it does not include general solid waste management, infectious solid waste and other types of hazardous solid waste according to factory regulations.
This ministerial regulation was published to curb health and sanitation of the citizen, to reduce and improve environmental impacts and to raise the standard of the citizen’s livelihood. This regulation will be effective after 180 days after publication date in the Government Gazette.
