Ministry of Industry published a notification regarding the specification of raw material sources used in industry. This notification was issued on the 28th of May 2020 in order to enhance the efficiency of the country’s environmental management, and to support the internal use of the country’s resources and health benefits of the Thai citizens.

Ministry of Industry forbids the factories to use electrical and electronic assemblies or scrap (not included scrap from electric power generation) containing such as accumulators and other batteries, mercury-switches, glass from cathode-raytubes and other activated glasses and PCB-capacitors, or contaminated with Cadmium, Mercury, Lead Polychlorinated Biphenyl according to 5.2 list, 2.18 order, in Ministry of Industry notification: Hazardous Substance Lists B.E. 2556 (2013).
