Summary of Public Hearing Results on the Draft Ministerial Regulation Requiring Food Contact Paper Industrial Products to Conform with the Standard (No. ..) B.E. ….

Between March 19 and April 17, 2026, the Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) held a public hearing on the Draft Ministerial Regulation mandating that food contact paper industrial products must conform to the standard (No. ..) B.E. …. The key essence of this draft ministerial regulation is the extension of the enforcement period of the Ministerial Regulation mandating that food contact paper industrial products must conform to the standard B.E. 2568 (the Ministerial Regulation). This extends the original effective date from June 22, 2026, to June 22, 2027.

Regarding the results of the public hearing on the draft, a total of 296 participants expressed their opinions. This consisted of 276 participants who agreed with the extension of the enforcement period, and 20 participants who disagreed.
