Location :
Chonburi, THAILAND
Industry :
Trading/Manufacturing (Chemical)
Service :
Environmental Site Assessment

Background

Our client, a Japanese trading company, conducted a due diligence process (DD) prior to take a stake of fine chemical manufacturer in Thailand.  We joined the DD team coordinated by a financial institution as an advisor of Environmental Due Diligence.

Our Approach

Our team visited the chemical factory to evaluate actual practice of environmental management as well as to understand their facilities, manufacturing process and environmental impact caused by their operation. In addition to the site visit and interview to the key personnel, a huge number of environmental documents, including environmental permits, laboratory testing results, accidental reports, internal and external audit reports, were  examined. The findings are summarized in the factual report and briefed to our client.

Our Value

Our work helped our client to identify potential environmental risks associated with the chemical factory operation. We also pointed out some non-conformity of environmental and occupational safety regulatory requirements. Worst-case scenario based on our expertise was presented for our client’s information.
